DIY Tutorial: Wax Paper Candle Holders
I saw this awesome and super simple idea on designsponge.com, they were talking about it for use in dorms at university because you are not allowed to have real candles. But I think that this can be utilized anywhere and this is definitely and exclusively a flameless tea light candle only project!
These DIY candle holders are a super cheap alternative to fancy candle holders that may be out of your budget. Or you could just be looking for something super unique to have as a holder!
These charming wax paper flameless tea light candle lanterns will add warmth and beauty to your interior (or exterior, because they would look stunning in your garden too!)
Materials Needed:
- Flameless tea light candles (NEVER use real candles as it is a huge fire hazard!)
- Wax paper
- Masking tape to help keep the holder together (if needed)
Directions: (Images below)
- Tear a strip of wax paper from you roll. It should be about a foot long. (You can vary the length of the wax paper, depending on how tall you want your flameless tea light candle holder to be)
- Fold your wax paper, leaving about half an inch from the top edge.
- Repeat step 2 another 3-4 times makig sure that you are leaving an inch from the top of the last folded area.
- With the folded layers facing outwards, create a cylinder by bringing each side of the wax paper together, and nest one end withing the folds.
- If needed use some masking tape to hold the sides together.
- Pop your flameless electric tea light candle inside & you’re all set!
Make 5-10 of them at various heights and group them all together or set them around our garden.
