DIY Tutorial: Pastel Dipped Milk Bottle Candle Holders
I saw this idea on sayyestohoboken.com that is very ‘in’ right now and had to share it as an idea for use with our flameless tea light candles. You can really go ‘dipping’ mad with the number of different things you could apply this to and it is super easy to do!
This idea would be perfect to use anywhere (home, restaurant, bar, hotel, beauty spa, etc..) and for any occasion (wedding, event, function, birthday, etc..) In the photo’s they have used this tutorial for vases, but the same concept would make awesome flameless tea light candle holders, hence why I wanted to share this with you!
Materials Needed:
- Clear, clean glass Jars/bottles/glasses (preferably something that you are re-purposing)
- Thick Rubber Bands
- Pastel Craft Paint (of different colours or one colour if you want them to all have the same colour)
- Scissors
Directions:
- Clean your glass holders off well and make sure they are completely dry
- Grab one of your thick rubber bands and wrap it around the bottom of your glass jar/bottle, so it’s at a nice ‘dipped’ angle shape (see below)
- Apply the craft paint beneath the rubber band, and let dry.
- Once the first coat is dry apply a second coat.
- When the second coat is dry, snip off the rubber band with scissors. (This way you don’t make the rest of the jar/bottle with wet paint off the rubber band)
- And you’re done!
It’s so super easy and is very effective. You totally customize it and you will have tea light candle holders that NO-ONE else will have- 100% unique!
